Professor of Studio Art at the University of Virginia, Megan Marlatt is renowned for her murals and commissions for both public and private organizations. Megan received her BFA at the Memphis College of Art and her MFA at Rutgers University. She currently teaches all levels of drawing and painting, as well as fresco and mural painting, at UVA and in Italy.

Minnesota native Pamela Wallace received a degree in Studio Art at Randolph-Macon Woman's College (now Randolph College). She is perhaps most well known for her printmaking, which she has been developing for nearly 20 years, but also works actively with encaustic and mixed media.

"Telling Objects" introduces African life and culture through works of art, and encompasses diverse cultures and geographic areas are represented, over 10 countries and more than 25 cultures. The objects in the exhibition iclude masks, figural sculptures, textiles, furnishings, baskets, and architectural elements.
