Li Yitai

In 1956 Li graduated from the middle school attached to the East Campus of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (afterwards called the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts and then National Academy of Arts) and in 1968 graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. From 1978 to 1980, Li was successively a research student at the academy, a member of the faculty, and vice-chairman of the print department. He is now vice-chairman of the Zhejiang Printmakers' Association and a member of the Chinese Artists' Association.

On the table in front of *Lu Xun is a book opened to a picture of Karl Marx. Lu expressed admiration and support for many aspects of Communism, but he never joined the Party. A print from Kaethe Kollwitz's series Peasants' War hangs on the wall. In 1998 Li Yitai posted an image of this print on the Internet with the simplified title, Lu Xun.
