"The east is red, the sun is rising" was a revolutionary motto and also the opening lines of a popular song written by He Luding. A tractor, preceded by the traditional New Year's dancing dragon and lion, pulls a wagon full of celebrants and musicians surrounded by banners which read, "celebrate abundant harvest" and "double happiness."
