Acknowledgments
We are grateful to many people for making this exhibition a reality, but first and foremost, we thank Magda Salvesen, who introduced us to Schueler's paintings, and has participated energetically in every aspect of the exhibition, catalog, video production, and event planning surrounding this exhibition. Diane D. Moran devoted many hours to the selection of the paintings for the exhibition, and to researching and writing the insightful and captivating catalog essay. The Judith Rothschild Foundation and several Sweet Briar College funds have provided support for the exhibition and its catalog. Nancy McDearmon and Carla Fitzgerald created the elementary school curriculum which accompanies the exhibition; the Virginia Commission for the Arts funded said school program. Nancy Blackwell Marion designed the catalog. Oote Boe photographed the works for the catalog. Stephen xx prepared the frames for travel and Harriet Irgang conserved the paintings prior to their travel. Many thanks to these organizations and people for support of this stunning exhibition. This exhibition is a tribute to the work of Jon Schueler and the legacy of paintings he left behind.
